"Alex, was a man who set an example for many of us. He chose to find some good in everyone he knew or met. There was always a smile, a story, a hug or a yodel. He enjoyed recounting his life?s stories, his failings and his strengths. He used these life events to help inspire his faith and to grow stronger in his prayer life and God?s presence in his life. We always thought Alex would always be present in our lives, despite his age, we could not envision him not in our world. But, we are left with so many memories, jokes, laughter and his huge smile that welcomed us all. Our lives have been enriched by having Alex crossing our path. Every time a bell is rung he will be thought of with a grin. Our ?village? loved the man."
