MUSCATINE, Iowa - George K. Lindow, 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Lutheran Living.

A memorial visitation will take place from 1 - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the community room at Lutheran Living - Valley View Assisted Living. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society or Wesley United Methodist Church. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

A private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

George was born on November 12, 1927, in Muscatine, the son of Charles H. and Edna Detthof Lindow. He married Joyce E. Crawford on October 15, 1960, in Muscatine.

He worked for the US Post Office as a mail carrier from 1957 until his retirement in 1983. He graduated from Muscatine High School in 1945 and from Muscatine Community College in 1948, and then attended the University of Iowa. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1951 until 1955.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joyce Lindow of Muscatine and one daughter, Laura E. Scott, of Bettendorf.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
