Frank D. Smith
November 15, 1933 - February 2, 2019

Frank D. Smith, age 85, of Ocean City NJ, died peacefully on Saturday February 2, 2019 in the Arden Courts of Warminster.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine (nee McKee) Smith.

Frank was a graduate of Abington High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Frank was a member of the Federal Aviation Administration and was employed as an Air Traffic Controller at the Philadelphia and Atlantic City Airports for 24 years prior to his retirement in 1988. He served as governor of the Philadelphia Hangar of Quiet Birdmen. Frank also was Vice President of the Pennsylvania X-Ray Corporation, a Smith family business. He was an avid golfer and an accomplished pilot.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sally Ann (nee Moore) Smith. He is the loving father of Tracy Files of Elverson, PA; Frank D. Smith, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of North Wales, PA; and Charles Smith and his wife Heather of Branchburg, NJ. He is the dear grandfather of Patrick, Alexandra, Abigail, Mia Josephine, Ryan and Andrew.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 followed by his Funeral Service at 1:00PM. Interment will be private.
