George W. Howell
November 23, 1928 - January 29, 2019

George Walter Howell, 90, of Plantation, Florida, passed away in his home surrounded by family and dear friends, January 29, 2019. He often said in the end, "I've had a long life and have no regrets", and that was the way he lived.

Mike, as he was known to all, was a prominent business man, starting and running several business in the south Florida area, the most recent being Christmas Place, from the early 1970's until retiring in 2001.

Born in Median, Illinois on November 23, 1928, he graduate high school in 1947 and continued on to serve in both the Navy and then the Army during the Korean War.
He was a thoughtful, patient, loving man, and will be missed terribly by all that knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Howell and Susan Laubach, his grandchildren, Adam Wetmiller , Rachael Jacobs, Mitchell Howell, and Jacqueline Howell , and his great grand children, Meghan, Kaydence, and Ari, as well as his sister, Mary Ellen Peabody, He was preceded in death by his wife Marylyn Hasty Howell, son Michael Howell, parents Charles and Margarette, sister, Ruth Darling, and Jim Howell.

He was a loving father, husband, brother, son, grandfather and great grand father and friend to all.

May he find peace in knowing he did good things in his life, and left a lasting impression.
