Loretta M. (Lyons) Vasko, of Miramar, Florida passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Florida Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was 81 years of age.
Born in Norvell, West Virginia on January 13, 1938, daughter of Money M. and Ruth M. (Cobb) Lyons. Raised and educated in Beckley, West Virginia. Loretta met and married, John A. Vasko in 1960.
Before moving to Miramar, Florida in 1973, Loretta worked for General Electric in Cleveland, Ohio. For many years, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Department of Juvenile Justice for the State of Florida, retiring in the year 2000. In her spare time Loretta loved making floral arrangements, working in her flower garden and cake decorating. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survived by her loving children, Ranae L. Wilson and her husband, Glen Wilson, John A. Vasko, III and his wife, Samantha Vasko and Lisa Vasko Bange and her husband, Jeff Guess. Also survived by her adored grandchildren, Nikki Vasko, Travis Matherly, Kayla Vasko and Thomas Bange. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Ranae Wilson in 2012 and her beloved husband of 46 years, John A Vasko Jr., in 2006.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
