April 12, 1943 - February 6, 2019
David John Lee, of Antigo, died Tuesday, February 6, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 75 years old. He was born on April 12, 1943, in Wausau, a son of the late William and Lorina (Fust) Lee. He married Patricia Marmes on June 2, 1973, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Antigo.
He graduated from D.C. Everest High School and attended North Central Technical College having received a degree in Technical Engineering and Drafting.
David is a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army from May 19, 1967, to May 16, 1969.
He worked for Plaspak in Antigo for 18 years full time and continued working part-time.
For five years he served as commander of the Paul Marmes Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23 in Antigo. He was a member of the Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign War Post 2653, Antigo, the G. C. Graveen Disabled American Veterans Chapter 64 in Wausau, and the Anderson-Sather American Legion Post 524, White Lake. He was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, baseball, and football. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, Patricia Lee, he is survived by three sons, Robert Turcotte, Larry (Arlene) Turcotte and Matthew Lee all of Antigo; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jenny Scherier of Marathon, Patricia (Daniel) Nechuta of Mosinee and Elizabeth (John) Warner of Fenwood; and a brother, William Lee of Rib Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Lee; a grandson, Tyler Turcotte; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Vicar Michal Fox officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Members of the G.C. Graveen DAV will stand honor guard on Sunday and the White Lake American Legion will conduct military honors Monday at the funeral home following the service.
