DeLores Craig
November 26, 1939 - February 7, 2019

DeLores Marjorie Craig was born November 26, 1939, in Wesley, daughter of Albert and Eva (Nichols) Monson. She grew up in Wesley where she attended school. DeLores was married to DeLane Craig on January 1, 1957 in Ainsworth.

The couple made their home in Washington, Iowa where in earlier years DeLores worked at Ross Manufacturing doing TV repair. DeLores and DeLane then owned and operated The Chocolate Shop in Washington and DeLano's Lounge in Ainsworth and Brighton. She later worked as a cook at Fritzes'. DeLores had a great sense of humor. She loved caring for her many dogs and decorating their large colonial home.

Following the death of her husband in 2016 she moved to Algona to be by her niece and nephews. DeLores M. Craig died Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Algona at the age of 79.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Darrell (Brenda) Craig of Bluegrass; a sister-in-law, Helen Bowman of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Monson and Eva Black; her husband on March 1, 2016; and five brothers, Larry Dean, Julius, Oscar, Wilbur, and Martin Monson.
