Anthony "Maro" Marinucci
July 11, 1938 - February 7, 2019

Anthony "Maro" Marinucci, age 80 and lifelong resident of Ambler PA, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ambler, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rose (nee Varrese) Marinucci. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Marinucci and sister, Dorothy Del Conte.

Anthony was a member of Ambler High School Class of 1956. He opened his own business "Maro's Floor Covering" on Butler Ave in Ambler in 1963 where it remains today as a second-generation business. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ambler and the Ambler Businessmen's Group.

Anthony loved his family time, especial spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid reader. After retiring he and Jane purchased an RV and started to travel to Florida during the winter, and to Cape May, NJ in the summer. His hobbies included photography, Sudoku, and tending to his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed meeting friends for coffee at the Ambler McDonald's.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jane F. (nee Fox) Marinucci; devoted son, Gregory J. Marinucci and his wife Cathy; daughter, Lori J. Marinucci, both residents in Ambler; and loving granddaughters, Rebecca and Sabrina Marinucci. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine McIntyre and her husband Charlie of Sellersville, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to call after 9:00 AM on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home,1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler. Anthony's Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Catherine Bower, Pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church in Ambler.
