James J. Dunne
August 26, 1936 - February 10, 2019

Mr. James J. "Jim" Dunne, 82, of Gladstone, IL died at 10:52 a.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Great River Hospice House.
Born August 26, 1936 in Peoria, IL, he was the son of Thomas M. and Betty A. (Rose) Dunne Sr. He married JoAnn Gapen on June 29, 1957 in Burlington. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2002.
Jim graduated from Biggsville High School and JATC Sheet Metal Workers. He retired from Frank Millard Co. after 42 years of service. He also worked for Crop Production Services and Gary Spence Trucking.
He belonged to Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 91, was a Ham Radio Operator, loved his grandkids, enjoyed woodworking, and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include son, Mark (Amy) Dunne of Burlington; grandson, Breck (Ashley) Dunne of Myrtle Beach, SC; Granddaughter, Chloe (Ryan) Janson of Burlington; brother, Tom M. (Nettie) Dunne Jr. of Galesburg, IL; sisters, Norma Whitmore of Gladstone, IL and Elizabeth (Lloyd) Barningham of Raymore, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Mike; daughter, Pam; and Sister, Pat.
The memorial service for Mr. Dunne will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14th at Lunning Chapel. Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner will officiate. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice House and Gladstone Health Center.
