Patricia Jean Ferris Boehmler
May 31, 1928 - February 13, 2019

Patricia Jean Ferris Boehmler went "home" at the age of 90 on February 13th, 2019. She was born on May 31st, 1928 in Hampton, Iowa. She was the oldest child and only daughter of S. Wayne Ferris and Allice Carrie Henning. She adored her two younger brothers, Earl and Wayne, the three siblings were each separated in age by only one year. Pat happily spent her entire childhood and went to school in Hampton, living most of her young life right next to the family owned Ferris Nursery. She attended the Cedar Rapids Business School owned by her grandfather and the Gulf Park College for Women in Mississippi. Later, she owned and ran the first Volkswagen auto dealership in Mesa, Arizona. After many years Pat returned to the hometown she loved and enjoyed the small town life. Pat loved wearing blue jeans, following her favorite baseball teams, working a good crossword puzzle, an ice cold Pepsi, when summer turned to fall, eating any and all flavors of ice cream, the companionship of her german shepherd dogs, and the color blue. She loved to laugh, was a great hostess and a good friend. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Earl and his wife Wanda. She is survived by her brother Wayne and his wife Mickey of Hampton. Pat has six children; Jane Bramwell, Nancy Lasley (John), Cathy Taylor, Caye Mabry (Ron), Jimmy Patterson (Terri) and Darrin Patterson (Cherlene). Her posterity also includes 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren with three more due this year. Pat spent the last eleven years in Mesa, Arizona to be close to her children who cared for her and created happy moments as she experienced the loss of her memory due to Alzheimer's disease. The family is so grateful for the loving kindness of the Ideal Assisted Living family where Pat resided for the past seven months of her life, if desired memorial contributions may be made to them at 18586 E. Carriage Way, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142.
