"A couple of memories about Doug, who was a HS classmate. He was a tailback and I was a guard our senior year of football. He lined up right behind me. When the play called for him to run my side he was so quick I barely had time to block before he was there and gone! Also, Chuck Nelson and I hunted rabbits with Doug one winter, and he was the best at finding them in places we never thought to look. We missed seeing him at our recent class reunion, but understood why he wasn?t there ? the Hawkeyes were playing. Rest In Peace, Doug. You will be missed. "
