Linda Darnold, 74, of Malvern, IA, died on February 18, 2019 at her home in rural Malvern. Private family services will be held. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Malvern in charge of arrangements.

Linda Ioma Darnold, one of four children of Raymond and Ioma Irene (Agee) Hopkins, was born on July 27, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Council Bluffs. Linda worked for Western Bell as a telephone switch operator.
Linda and Floyd Duane Darnold were united in marriage on October 20, 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm northwest of Malvern, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with three children, David, Dean and Doreen.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ioma; brothers, James Hopkins, Jerald Hopkins, and Robert Hopkins; in-laws, Jay and Bernice Darnold; and brother-in-law James Darnold in infancy.
Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Floyd Darnold of Malvern; children, David Darnold of Malvern, Dean Darnold of Malvern, and Doreen Tackett and husband Elliott of Council Bluffs, IA;sister-in-laws Pat Hopkins and Nancy King; brother-in-law Francis Darnold and wife Connie of Malvern; nieces and nephews and their families; other relatives; and neighbors and friends.
