Bob Schott
June 7, 1938 - February 19, 2019

LeRoy Robert "Bob" Schott, 80, of rural Lewiston died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home on the family farm. Bob was born on the family farm, to William and Izetta (Hislop) Schott, on June 7, 1938. He and Phyllis Vorbeck were married January 15, 1963 in Winona and farmed the family farm their entire married lives. He was a dairy farmer and drove limestone truck for Schott Trucking. Bob was interested in tractors, having done repair work for many neighbors. He enjoyed stock car racing, serving as mechanic for the team of Lee Rain, Sr., Denny Schott and Daryl Erion. On the farm, Bob was the straw boss and supervisor. He made sure everyone kept on task with the daily duties he assigned them. Bob told everyone what they needed to get done, down to his last day.

"Oh my, where to start! Bob was a fun, talented easy going guy, he would help anybody in any way he could. Lee just described him as a talented mechanical wizard, Bob could fix just about anything and if he couldn't get an old part, he made it. I remember one time in particular he was working on Lee's semi truck and years back he always had one or more of the little kids with him, this day he had Jack who was just a little guy and Jack was helping Bob under the truck, so small Bob told him"Jack go get me the wrench with the one and the two on it" we could go on and on! we'll miss you Bob, thanks for being a good friend. "Phyllis, we share in Your families sympathy as your neighbors and friends of ours for many , many years. I remember Bob and Jerome over at our farm fixing on my Dads farm machinery. Dad would say "that Bob is real good at working on machinery, his help was always appreciated. Rest in peace Bob! The Melvin and Annie Brand family"
