Raymond Joseph "Joe" Sweda, Jr., 66, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at a Sioux City hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Joe was born July 1, 1952 in Streator, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Loveda (Dunning) Sweda. He attended Streator High School. Joe was blessed with 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He worked as an over the road truck driver and for a building demolition company, before working with his best friend, Henry VanDorn at Henry's Body Shop in South Sioux City.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cheating at golf.
Survivors include his fiancé, Jacqueline Wilson; children, Christy (Keith) Becker, Tony (Christy) Sweda, Shirley Castillo, and Travis Sweda; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loveda and Dale Jerpy.
