James Henry Gray, 52, of Keokuk, died at 10:50 PM, Monday, March 21, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
James was born October 13, 1958, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Henry and Juanita Trugagos Gray. He married Susan Burchett on April 28, 2006 in Talladega, Alabama. She survives.
He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and was employed with Henninges Automotive as a supervisor. He was a member of ABATE of Iowa and Harley Davidson "Hog". He loved riding his motorcycle, traveling and camping. The past three years James and Susan spent Decembers in Florida. He enjoyed and was a big fan of NASCAR racing and the St. Louis Cardinals. But most of all he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and family,
He is survived by his wife, Susan, of Keokuk; his parents, Henry and Juanita Gray of Wayland, Missouri; three children, Heather LaFrenz and her husband T.J, Tiffany Bigelow and her fiancé Mike Simpson and Jason Hall and his wife Jamie, all of Keokuk; a brother, Patrick Gray and his wife Julie of Carroll, Iowa; a sister, Vicki Ames of Keokuk; four grandchildren, Harley LaFrenz, Gunnir Bigelow, Ansun Bigelow and Jason Hall, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Jill Seabold and her husband Bill and their three children, Ryan, Andrew and Jordan of Keokuk, Jacob Ames and his children Kayden and Logan of Keokuk, Matthew Ames and his wife Ashley and their two children, Kenadi and Kali of Keokuk, and Blake and Evan Gray of Carroll, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Jennie Trugagos and Guerdon and Mathilda Gray; and his father-in-law, Gary Burchett.
