Lavalla Lena Laura (Krueger) Anderson

Lavalla Lena Laura (Krueger) Anderson, age 90, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born in Deerfield on December 14, 1918, a daughter of Robert and Louisa (Glauvitz) Krueger. On January 18, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arnold Anderson at St. John's in Newville. Lavalla was a wonderful person who will be missed dearly by family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and a lifelong resident of Deerfield. Lavalla was a homemaker and also worked on the farm; milking cows and driving horses. She was involved with the Ladies Aid at church, and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, dancing, and bingo. She is survived by 3 daughters, Marlys (Dennis) Rahn, Rhonda Anderson, and Bonnie (John) Regnery; 4 grandchildren, Heidi Rahn, Jeff Rahn, Ann Regnery and Mike Regnery; a great grandson, Bryce Rahn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold; and brother, Roger. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 138 County Rd. BB, Marshall / Deerfield, with the Rev. Paul Burk officiating. Burial will follow at Kroghville Cemetery. The family will greet friends at church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made in Lavalla's name to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Iver Erlandson.
