Janet Kay Nothold, age 69, of 2651 Wild Horse Dr., died Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 5:58 am at her home.
Janet was born April 30, 1942 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Melvin and Marjorie Herbst Guth She married Fred Nothold on September 10, 1960 in Quincy. He survives.
She was a 1960 graduate of Quincy High School. Janet and Fred were co-owners of Central Welding Supply until they sold it in 1999.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Janet was also a former Jaycette and an active member of the Quincy Humane Society and Spring Lake Country Club.
Janet especially loved her grandchildren and her dachshunds.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: a son Steve (Laura) Nothold; two daughters: Shelley (Kris) Bentley and Kristi (Chad) Routh all of Quincy, IL; ten grandchildren: Angie (Ross) Altenhein, Erik Nothold, and Blake Nothold, all of Quincy, Zach Bentley of Columbia, MO, Courtney Bentley of Iowa City, IA, Alyssa Bentley of Quincy, Ty, Taylor, Trace, and Tegan Routh, all of Quincy; and her two dachshunds, Oscar and Magi.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents.
Services: 10:00 am Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Trinity United Church of Christ, with Rev. Timothy A. White officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday September 9, 2011 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
