Gladys Maxine Stone, age 88 of 711 Harrison, Quincy died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 6:17 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1923 in Camp Point, IL the daughter of Otis Holland and Julia Mae Long Stone.
She attended Maple Wood School in Camp Point, IL. She worked at International Shoe Factory then at the Hosiery Mill, both in Quincy. She attended Bethel Assembly of God in Quincy, She loved to read and listen to christian music and watch WTJR programs on television.
Survivors include, a sister; Marjorie E. Stone of Quincy, 2 cousins; Virginia Epker of Missouri and Doris Sovar of Anna, IL, and dear friends Jerry & Alice Doyle and Steve & Linda Swink. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Otis Holland Stone, Jr. and a sister-in-law; Julia Henrietta Stone.
Services: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 1 p.m. in Bethel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Keith Garner officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation: Monday, July 18, 2011 from Noon til 1 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church.
