He attended Quincy College before going into the military during the Korean War. While in the military, he was stationed in Germany as a welder and trumpet player for the army's first military band. He loved to travel had many great photos and stories of the places he visited.

A thinker at heart, Clarence loved to be at home creating and building projects for his work and family. He loved reading and learning new things. Working in his gardens at the Camp was a favorite past time. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing practical jokes on his friends and family. He kept his motorcycles full of gas for his kids, creating endless memories.  Clarence was a mentor too many kids who needed something fixed or made. If someone asked him for help, he was always there to lend a hand. His interesting sense of humor will definitely be missed by all.
