Brad  C. Boden , age 56, of 308 Maple, died June 26, 2011, at 8:49 am in his home.

Brad  was born August 19, 1954 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Chester & Joan Spilker Boden.    He married Vicki Ames on January 24, 1976 in Quincy.  She survives.

Brad was a self -employed contractor with the U.S. Postal Service for close to 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, motorcyle riding, and spending time on the river with friends and family. His grandchildren held a very special and dear place in his heart.

Survivors in addition to his wife include:  four children,  Tricia Boden, Shanna (Dustin) Willis, Brad Boden, and Jenessa Boden;  five grandchildren, Haven Boden, Zane and Dustin Willis, Brad Boden Jr. and Keedon Fedler;  his parents, Chester and Joan Boden;  eight brothers and sisters, Margaret "Chris" (Marion) Stump, Kathy Schneider, Debora (Danny) Helmers, Larry Boden, Tina (Nasser) Henaifesh, Jerry (Pam) Boden, Roger Boden and Robert "Bobby" (Stephanie) Boden;  an aunt, Margaret "Sugar" Cook and an uncle James (Margie) Boden;  31 nieces and nephews;  numerous great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.

Brad  was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, a brother-in-law Kim V. Ames and a father-in-law G. Vernon Ames.

Services: 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
