Beatrice A. "Betty" Doht age 91, formerly of Curtis Creek, died April 8, 2011, at 3:05 am in Sunset Home.

Betty was born December 12, 1919 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Oliver and Vera VanAlstine Quinn. She married her high school sweetheart Warren John Doht on February 23, 1941 in New London, MO. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1978.

Betty had worked at Kresge's, Bowman Shoes and State Street Store. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Quincy Art Center. Betty loved to follow her grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed music and played the organ. As a young woman she was runner up in the 1939 Miss Quincy Pageant.

Survivors include: 3 daughters, DeEdra (Wayne) Oberle of Davenport, IA, Marcia Lansing of Quincy, and Katherine (Robert Kulovany) Doht of Fort Collins, CO; 8 grandchildren, Eric (Christine Holbo) Oberle of Tempe, AZ, Michael (Lisa Jahn) Oberle of Holly Springs, NC, Lucas J. Lansing of Quincy, IL, Jamie Lansing of Denver, CO, Sarah Lansing of Memphis, TN, Alexis Lansing of Quincy, IL, Josef and Elise Kulovany of Ft. Collins, CO; 3 great grandchildren, Milo & Lola Oberle of Holly Springs, NC, and Alexander Oberle of Tempe, AZ; and several nieces & nephews

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Warren John Doht, her parents, 5 Brothers; Claude, Tom, Carson, Elmo and Warren Quinn and 3 sisters; Devona Bucklo, Olive Manuel and Anita Quinn

Services: Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
