Robert G. Gleason, 83, 2414 Monroe, Quincy, died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at 9am in Blessing Hospital.
He was born July 7, 1916 in Rye, Colorado, the son of Bernard and Vera Walters Gleason.
On August 10,1940, he married Unabelle E. "Trixie" Claus in Houston, TX. She survives.
He was service manager at Gardner Denver for 44 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Gardner Denver Quarter Century Club, Q City Squares, Lambert Masonic Lodge A. F. & A. M. for over 50 years, Quincy Consistory and he was an avid bridge player.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sandra Gleason, Quincy, IL. His parents, 2 brothers Bernard and Ralph Gleason preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Saturday, February 19, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Rodney Bakker and Mr. Kevin McGinnis officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
The family will receive friends from 5pm- 7pm Friday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church .
