Bernice Margaret Carver, 82, 2544 Prentiss Avenue, Quincy, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Willow Care Center in Hannibal, Mo.
She was born August 4, 1917 in Velva, North Dakota, the daughter of Edwin J. Dodds and Abigail Jane Adair Dodds.
She was first married to Roy Seals in 1935. He died in 1962. On August 25, 1965, she married Bruce Raymond Carver in Parkview Church in Quincy. He survives at the home.
Mrs. Carver was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Elks Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She was employed for 32 years as a restaurant and dietary worker in various Quincy establishments.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a 4 Sons, Ronald Lee Seals and his wife Linda, Hannibal, Mo. Gary Louis Seals and his wife Sandra, Quincy, Il; Richard 'James ' Carver and his wife Kathy, Quincy, Il; Raymond Earl Carver, Jacksonville; Grandchildren Shelly Hultz and her husband Christopher, Quincy, Jeff Seals, Los Altos Hills, CA Kevin Seals, Palmyra, ILLINOIS, Gregory Seals, Lewisville, Tx., Roderick Seals and his wife Debra, St. Petersbsurg, FL., Kimberly Lee, Quincy, Tim Carver and his wife Rachael, Quincy, Tamala Carver, Quincy, Emilee Carver, Quincy, and Greta Mack and her husband Kyle, Hannibal, MO.12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 3 sisters-in-law Kay Dodds, Quincy, Barbara Day , Albuquerque, N.M. and Shirley Patterson, Harrisburg, PA.
She was preceded in death by a brother Edgar L. Dodds, 3 sisters Bertha Marie Downs, Vera Mae Dolotowski and Pauline Fay Gray, and 2 grandsons Kerry and Corey Seals.
Funeral Services will be Monday morning at 11AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Thomas Rains officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7P.M. Sunday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
