Evalyn L. Schaller, 2129 Sunny Lane, Quincy died Friday morning, June 23, 2000 at 9:50 am in Brighton Pavilion.
She was born April 12, 1921 in Chambersburg, IL, the daughter of Herbert T. and Velma Robbins Ballard.
On October 25, 1941, she married Eugene Schaller in Palmyra, MO. He survives.
She was a graduate of Perry High School and a licensed beauty operator before her marriage. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a Son, Michael Schaller and his wife Lu Anne, Palm Desert, CA; Daughter, Krista Dicks and her husband Orville, Quincy; 2 daughters-in-law, Christine Schaller, Quincy; Joan Wakefield and her husband Bill, Mesa, AZ; 6 Grandchildren, Kimberly Ramsey and her husband Scott, Redondo Beach, CA; David Schaller and his wife Kelly, San Diego, CA; Ann Schaller, Richard Schaller, Lisa Dicks, and John Dicks, all of Quincy; 1 great grandson, Decker Ramsey, Redondo Beach, CA; 5 brothers and 6 sisters; Norris Ballard and his wife Marjie, OFallon,IL, Maxine Schaffer and her husband Maurice, Ursa,IL, Jean Browning and her husband Howell, Chambersburg, IL, Floyd Ballard, Petaluma, CA, Eva Donhardt and her husband Don, Quincy, Thelma Kringry and her husband Harry, Pittsfield, IL, Paul Ballard and his wife Alice, Elizabeth Town, KY, Kenneth Ballard and his wife Lucy, LaGrange, MO, Georgin Sill and her husband Harold, Hampstead, NC., Marion Barret and her husband David, San Diego, CA, Robert Ballard and his wife Isabel, Roy, Utah; 2 sisters- in-law Frances Ballard, Quincy, and Frances Ballard of Homestead, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her son Donald Schaller, her parents, one sister and 5 brothers.
Memorial Services will be Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church andor Blessing Foundation for Hospice. Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
