Joseph Wayne Michalik, 34, 1310 Columbine, Quincy, died Sunday, September 3, 2000 at 7:51 pm in the Blessing Hospital Emergency Room in Quincy.
He was born June 17, 1966 in Palacios, Texas, the son of Charles Walter Michalik, Sr. and Dianna J. Brown Michalik.
On September 19, 1997 he married Dana D. Rickett in San Antonio, Texas. .
He was the Director of Purchasing and Transportation at Prince Agri Manufacturing in Quincy. He was a 1984 graduate of Palacios High School and a 1990 graduate of Sam Houston State University in Agri-business. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quincy, and was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Palacios, TX.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his parents of Palacios, Texas, 3 sons, Trevor Moody, Quincy, Ronnie Michalik, Denton, TX., and Hayden Michalik, Quincy, a brother, Charles Walter Michalik, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Austin, TX, a sister, Roxane Michalik, Round Rock, TX, a nephew, Hunter Michalik, Austin, TX, and a niece, Abby Michalik, Austin, TX.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 6, at 4 P.M. in the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quincy with the Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 3 P.M. until time of services. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, at _10 A.M. in the First Baptist Church in Palacios, TX., with The Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Burial in Hawley Cemetery, Blessing, Texas. Visitation will be 5 to 7PM at the Palacios Funera l Home.
