Ralph W. Hagerbaumer, 91, 1026 Adams, Quincy, died Sunday, November 19, 2000 at 3:53pm in Blessing Hospital.
He was born October 22, 1909 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Henry and Anna Griep Hagerbaumer. On July 17, 1941, he married Virginia Elizabeth Heckenkamp in Canton, MO. She preceded him in death February 15, 1994.
He was a mechanic and owner of Hagerbaumer Garage for over 50 years and retired in 1982. He was a member of Herman Lodge #39, A. F. & A. M., South Side Commercial Club, South Side Boat Club and enjoyed boating, He was a long time Ham radio operator.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanne A. Hagerbaumer, Quincy; 2 nephews, Frank Speckhartand his wife Lynda, Knoxville, TN; Dan Speckhart and his wife Sue, Pittsfield, IL; 1 niece, Bobette Soltau and her husband Jim, Naperville, IL; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Wednesday, November 22, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Kuse officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am Wednesday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Shriners' Childrens Hospital or Bonnie Tenhouse - Bowling Belles
