Dorothy Evelyn Mittelberg, age 97, formerly of 2620 Cherry, Quincy, died Wednesday at 10:45 p.m. in Good Samaritan Home.

She was born June 30, 1913 in Quincy, the daughter of William and Rosa Clingingsmith Butts. On October 10, 1931 she married Arnold H. Mittelberg in Quincy. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1996.

Dorothy attended the Assembly of God Churches. She was a salesperson for Herleman's Country Store for 8 years and retired in 1972.

Survivors include her son, Lowell Mittelberg of and his wife Leona of Liberty; a daughter, Veta Trower of Farber, MO; 4 grandsons, Gary Mittelberg and his wife Dawn of Quincy, Steven Trower and wife Ann of Germantown Hills, IL, Dan Trower and wife Toni of Vandalia, MO, and Will Butts and wife Lori of Palmyra, MO; 1 granddaughter, Laura Steinway and husband Ed of Chatham, IL; 10 great grandchildren; and two great-great granchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Viola Beckman, and 2 brothers, Ralph and Vernon Butts.

Services: 11:30 am Saturday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Pastor Karl Flentje officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Saturday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
