Eva L. Wittler age 75 of 1421 No.13th St., died Wednesday April 11, 2012, at 10:22 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
She was born December 20, 1936 in Flora, Illinois the daughter of Ernest and Juanita Harrison Acton. In 1953 she married Douglas J. Mitchell in St. Louis, Missouri. That union was dissolved by divorce. On October 2, 1982, she married Virgil F. "Bill" Wittler in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.
Mrs. Wittler worked as a waitress most of her life, working from 1982 through 2002 at Spring Lake Country Club. She also worked at State Street Bank for 3 years. She was a member of Faith Christian Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband include: a daughter, Cynthia Poling and her husband Shorty of Loraine, IL; a son, Robert L. Mitchell and his wife Lisa of Santaquin, UT; 3 grandsons Chaise Mitchell, Kegan Mitchell and Kory Trantham all of Santaquin, UT; granddaughter, Alicia Ehrhardt and her husband Chris of Tucson, AZ; ; 4 great grandsons, Zachary, Logan, Dakota and Chance Ehrhardt and 1 great-granddaughter Peyton Ehrhardt of Tucson, AZ; a sister Mary Wokral and her special companion, John Crigger of Vacaville, CA; 2 stepsons Virgil F. Wittler, Jr. and his wife Sally of Wallingford, PA; William E. Wittler of Verona, NJ; 2 step grandsons William Michael & Daniel Wittler both of Verona, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Timothy D. Mitchell, 3 sisters Terry A. Garrison, Linda Deal and Delores Barnes and 3 brothers Andy Joe, Ernest Dale and Harold Acton.
Services: Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Faith Christian Church with Pastor Matt Worstell and Rev. Henry Pratt officiating. Burial will be in New Loraine Cemetery, Loraine, IL.
Visitation: 8:30 - 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Christian Church.
