Katherine Ann Phillips, age 78, of 2924 Theresa Ct., died Monday, April 23, 2012, at 11:54 am in Blessing Hospital.

Katherine was born October 20, 1933 in Emden, Missouri, the daughter of Otis and Anise Calvert Jones. She married Robert E. Phillips on February 19, 1955 in Quincy at Salem Evangelical Church. He preceded her in death March 23, 2010.

Katherine was a 1953 graduate of Quincy High School. She worked at Motorola and Davis-Cleaver until she left the work force to take care of her parents.

She was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, Southside Boat Club, and Eagles Club. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and being with her grandchildren. She was also a long time Chicago Cubs fan and an avid gardener.

Survivors include two sons, Terry M. (Tammy) Phillips of Corona, CA, and Bryan K. Phillips of Quincy, seven grandchildren, Christopher Phillips of Las Vegas, NV, Carrie Phillips of Quincy, Michael and Brandon Phillips of Corona, CA, and Angela , John, and Kayla Phillips of Mendon, IL, nine great-grandchildren and her brother Kenneth Jones of Warrenton, MO.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Phillips, her parents and three brothers, Kendrick, Karol and Keith Jones.

Services: 10:00 am Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Wanda Seydel officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery

Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday April 27, 2012 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Memorials: Shriners' Hospitals for Children or Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ.
