"Alice we are so sorry to lose Jerry. He was a great man so kind and considerate of others. We are going to miss him terribly especially our phone calls. He lived a good life and fought a good fight. Now he can be at peace with the Lord and with all of our Turnhoffer relatives who went before us. It was a pleasure to meet up with you and Jerry 12 years ago. It is a time we will never forgot. We wish we could be with you at this time. you and your family will be in our prayers Your Minnesota Cousins Dutch & Leone"
"Alice, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You and Jerry had such a ministry of God's grace, love, healing, and compassion together. I know that whatever God gave you, you used to his glory and as Jerry glorified God in life, I know God will be glorified in his death. May God's peace surround you in your grief and loss."

"What sad and unexpected news to hear of Jerry's passing. You have lost a life mate; I have lost a friend. And my family also shares your sadness, though they have known you and Jerry mostly through me. Throughout the spring and summer I shared with them the up's and down's of Jerry's battle. They feel like they know him too. You both ministered to me in times of my loss. Jerry was there to bear Dad's casket to the grave along with our two sons, Kevin and James, and stood with us as Mom was carried to her rest. And your God-given voice brought Heaven's presence into those moments of sadness and loss for me. I can't tell how much that meant. I know these past few months were difficult for you as you sensed Jerry might be treading his last mile. But your anchor is in the Giver of Life, and though you weep, it is not as one who has no hope. May the God of all comfort be YOUR comfort in this hour. Wishing I could be there to be bid farewell to a wonderful friend and brother. I pray God's blessings upon you as you face the uncertain days ahead.
