Ola Darlene Wellman, of Quincy, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Blessing Hospital.

Ola was born February 13, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Frederick and Ollie Amelia Hanke Parn. She married Garry F. Wellman Nov 2, 1946 in Quincy. He preceded her in death May 23, 1985.

Ola attended Pell Grade School and was a graduate of Brown County Community High School. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church at Pea Ridge and was confirmed June 16, 1940 at the Clayton Community Hall. She worked at Motorola before attending beauty school. She was a long time owner of both Ola's Style Salon at 12th and State and A Cut Above at 10th and State. She was currently a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Ola was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dedicated her life to, and loved spending time with, her family.

Survivors include: five children, Joyce (Greg) Kuse of Quincy, Victoria (Dan) Derhake of Quincy, Theresa (Dan) Pieper of Ponchatoula, LA, Gary Wellman of Taylorville, IL, and David (Katrina) Wellman of Quincy, a son-in-law, Don Beck of Beloit, WI, 15 grandchildren, Joseph (Tara) Beck of Madison, WI, Michael (Nan) Beck of Naperville, IL, Andrew (Alicia) Beck of Beloit, WI, Thomas Beck of Madison, WI, Angela (Bruce) Venvertloh of Quincy, April (Rich) Sibbing of Quincy, Lisa (Kent) Daggett of Clayton, IL, Christina (Vance) Wilson of Quincy, Rachel (Trey) Harris, Benjamin (Esmee) Pieper of all of Ponchatoula, LA, Megan Capolla of Aurora, IL, Billy Reardon of Kirksville, MO, Garry M. (Laura) Wellman of St. Louis, MO, Sarah Wellman of Quincy, IL, Janie Wellman of Fulton, MO, and 23 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ola was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Beck and six brothers, Harold Henry, William Hubert, Frederick in infancy, Delbert, Owen Everett and Arlie Ray Parn.

Services: 10:30 am Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Martin Eden officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery

Visitation: 9 - 10:30 am Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Memorials: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Blessing Hospital Breast Center.
