Cynthia "Cindy" Lea Ann Jones was born on March 14, 1955 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret Hessing Hoener. She entered Heaven's gates on Sunday, March 17, 2013. She died peacefully in her home at 7:40 pm.
She married her best friend, Gary Jones, on August 29, 1975 in Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ in Quincy.
Cindy devoted her life to her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed the outdoors, planting flowers, decorating, making people laugh and always helping others. She was a very loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will remain in our hearts forever and be deeply missed.
Survivors in addition to her loving husband, Gary K. Jones, include her three daughters, Jessica Jones and Keithia Jones, both of Quincy, and Angela Lewis of Louisiana, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kattarina Jones, Parker Cookson, Ashlyn Deering, Madyson and Jaiden Jones, all of Quincy, and Karley and Bransyn Lewis, both of Louisiana, MO; two great-grandchildren, Brody Andresen and Jamesian Schroder, both of Quincy; a good friend, Joan Dowler of Quincy; a sister, Jennifer (Richard) Blivens; three brothers, Dennis (Tammy) Hoener, Jeffrey (Christina) Hoener, and Mark (Kathy) Hoener, all of Quincy; several nieces and nephews.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Steve Hoener, and two sisters, Pamela Mast and Rebecca Augspurg.
Services: 11:00 am Friday, March 22, 2013, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation: 4:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
