"I am so sorry for your loss. "Don't cry because it over. Smile because it happened" seems so fitting for knowing and being part of Carl Johnston's extended family. I will miss his laugh, his political sparing and the Republican party will miss his vote,We always talked about going golfing and I will miss talking about that too,I will miss his love for the Cardinals, the volume on the television, and all the funny things he said. He was such a simple complex person, showing his fondness and love just when you least expected it. There will be only one Carl Johnston and while I know none of us are getting out of here alive, he certainly gave it the best try of anyone I've ever known. Please know you are in my prayers and no matter how old we are it's never easy when it's a parent. I'm here for you and you will all be in my prayers. On another note, just as Charlene waited till she knew everyone was home before she passed, Carl seemed to have waited till he knew everyone was "settled" into their places also. They loved their family didn't they?
