Harold B. Crim, Sr., age 86, of 1744 N 300th Avenue, Plainville, IL died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 9:00 am in his home.

Harold was born January 12, 1927 in Plainville, Illinois, the son of William and Gertrude Fusselman Crim. He married Betty L. Germann on May 28, 1949 in Troy, Missouri. She survives.

Harold attended Kinderhook area schools and was a 1945 graduate of Seymour High School in Payson. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Harold farmed in the Plainville area, worked at the Electric Wheel in Quincy, and he did carpentry work with his dad and brothers Merle and Keith. He was a 62 year member of Plainville Masonic Lodge #529 A. F. & A. M., and he was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church. He was also a 40 year member of the Shiloh Cemetery Board. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three children, Harold Tim (Mary Kath) Crim of Payson, IL, David (Kathy) Crim of Plainville, IL, and Beth (Don) Bangert of Ursa, IL; 6 grandchildren,, Karrie (Brian) Wolf of Payson, Kristopher (Terri) Crim of Plainville, Shelly (Mat) Cramer of Camp Point, Brian (Clarissa) Bangert of Plainville, Steven (Beth) Crim of Camp Point, and Jeffrey (Krista) Bangert of Payson; 14 great grandkids, Blake, Brock, and Brant Wolf, Collin, Ella, and Alyssa Crim, Haley and Keagan Cramer, Kasey and Kylee Bangert, Makayla, Parker and Chelsey Crim, and Gavin Bangert; a sister, Betty Althoff McNutt of Quincy, and a brother, Keith Crim of Quincy, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Sam, Joe and Merle Crim, and a sister Rosalie Smith.

Services:  10:00am Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating.

Burial:  Shiloh Cemetery, Plainville, IL

Visitation:  4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 6:30 pm conducted by Payson Masonic Lodge #379 A. F. & A. M.
