Raymond Lee Caldwell,

Raymond Lee Caldwell Jr., age 42, of 1302 Stone Creek Dr., Quincy, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at 5:32 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Raymond was born October 11, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Raymond Lee and Pearlene Davis Caldwell. He married W. Angela Raines on September 4, 1999 in Joliet, Illinois. She survives.

Raymond earned a Bachelor degree in Computer Information Technology from Florida Metropolitan University and a Bachelor degree in Theology from Life Christian University. Raymond was a member of the Cathedral of Worship, where he served as a greeter and a Sunday School teacher. His absence will be felt greatly by his church family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: his father, Raymond Lee (Rosemary) Caldwell Sr. of Chicago; IL; a son, Ryan Elijah Simmons Caldwell of Quincy; a step-son, Anthony Payne of Fredricksburg, VA; three sisters: Angela Caldwell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Rosemary Caldwell of Hollywood, FL; and Tenita (Kenneth) Davis of Markham, IL; two brothers: Daris Lamont (Katie) Owens of Matteson, IL; and Odell (Donna) Owens of Chicago Heights, IL; an aunt, Eula Mae Johnson of Hollendale, MS; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Raymond will be missed by many friends and co-workers.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Pearlene Caldwell-Laidlaw and his grandparents; and two nieces: Valyncia Caldwell and Danielle Kemp.

Services: 7:00 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Cathedral of Worship, with Bishop Eddie Warren officiating.

Visitation: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Cathedral of Worship

Burial: Graveside services at Sunset Cemetery, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with full Military Honors.
