"I met Jan at Cursillo that I was on 12 yrs ago with my mom, Judy Quinn. She was a very special lady that was truly filled with God's Spirit. Jan and Lawson meant a lot to my mom. I never did get to thank your family for coming and singing at my mom's funeral 10 yrs ago. What a special tribute that was to my mother. As your family grieves the loss of your mom, wife and family member I pray that God will give you strength and peace. I believe Jan is up in heaven singing glory and praises to God. What a beautiful sight to see when you join her some day."

"Dear Lawson, Laura, Kendall and families, Please accept our deepest condolences. I can honestly say that I can never remember seeing Jan that she didn't have a smile on her face, a hug in her arms and a song in her heart. She has always been a bright light in this world and the world will be darker because of her passing. Some time ago we lost someone who was special to us and I wrote the following poem. I hope you like it and it will be of some comfort to you. Birth of an Angel An Angel was born in Heaven she was taken from this Earth, God spoke to Jan and said "I chose you at your birth" You brightened people?s lives with companionship and love, The time had come for me to bring you back to Heaven above; Your family will miss you and tears you know they'll cry, Faith in Me and love for you will help them to get by; Sometime in the future no one knows just when, You and your loved ones will be together again; Until that time arrives you can shower them with love, They will feel it in their heart And know it?s from you above."
