Edna C. Drebes, 79, 1100 W. New Street, Palmyra, Missouri, died Sunday, July 22, 2001 at 2:55 pm at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1922 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Edward P. and Freda C. Warmker Hagenah. On March 29, 1957, she married Wilford Roy Drebes in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1986.
She graduated from Quincy High School in 1940 and attended Gem City Business College. She worked at Mercantile Bank and Moorman Manufacturing from 1948 to 1958. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Palmyra and was formerly a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a three daughters, Judy Stockdale, Quincy, Brenda Fleming and her husband Dennis, Quincy, Rose Lane and her husband Bob, Edmond, OK, seven grandchildren, Diane Rowell and her husband Eric, Kansas City, MO, Alan Lovelace and his wife Jennie, Palmyra, MO, Christina Kaltenbach and her husband Eric, Quincy, Denys and Danielle Fleming, Quincy, Bobby and Carrie Lane, Edmond, OK; , six great grandchildren, two sisters, Mildred Hagemann, Quincy, Doraine Stretz and her husband Tom, Quincy, one brother-in-law, Leo Drebes and his wife Goldie, Palmyra. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Harold Hagenah and Russell Hagenah.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Wednesday, July 25, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery, Palmyra, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Quincy Senior Citizen Center.
