Opel Ruth Hillerts, age 79, 1700 Monroe, Quincy, died Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at 9:00 am at Blessing Hospital.
She was born January 11, 1923 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the daughter of John Edwin and Lena Opel House Chamberlain.
Mrs. Hillerts was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son Edgar Archambo and his wife Kathryn, Ursa; a daughter, Pat Hillerts, Quincy; a daughter-in-law, Sue Archambo, Quincy; 5 grandchildren, Lee Ann Lynch, Barry; John Archambo and his wife Ellen, Barry; Shelly Ganz and her husband Brian, Jacksonville; Nicole Archambo, Tracy, CA; Michael Nelson, Buffalo, N.Y.; 6 great grandchildren, Adam & Caleb Archambo, Barry; Noah Lynch, Barry; Bailey and Madelyn Ganz, Jacksonville and Nicholas Archambo, Tracy, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Gary Archambo, a granddaughter, Kimberly Archambo, 2 brothers Tom and Frank Chamberlain and a sister Irma Chamberlain.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 AM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Morwell officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Thursday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Quincy Humane Society.
