Wilma Virginia Jousan, 85, 901 So. 36th St., Quincy, (formerly of LaMarque, Texas) died Monday, February 18, 2002 at 2:55 p at the Sunset Home where she had been a resident since June 2001.

She was born June 21, 1916 in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of William Fredrick Gentsch and Florence Viola Powell Gentsch.
On July 14, 1934, she married Clarence Mike Jousan in Galveston, TX. He preceded her in death November 26, 1976.

Mrs. Jousan was of the Presbyterian faith. She had been employed as a practical nurse for many years and was employed as a secretary for R.S.V.P. for 5 years.

Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Patricia Wilson and her husband Dr. Phil C., of Quincy, 2 sons, C.Mike Jousan and his wife Vicki, Scottsdale, AZ and Daniel C. Jousan, Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren,Kathleen Schwartz, Quincy, Laura Coleman, Williamsburg, Va. Julie Fritz, New York, Jeffrey Jousan, Japan, Jami Campbell, in the country of Mexico, Craig Price, Texas, Cory Collins, Texas and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and by 6 brothers W. F. Gentsch, Jr., Charles, Henry, Eddie, George and Bob and 4 sisters Louise, Kathryn, Florence and Lilly and a great grandchild Keith Allen Schwartz.

Graveside services will be held Thursday February 28 in Grace Memorial Park, Santa Fe, Texas. Memorials to Sunset Home or Blessing Foundation for Hospice in Quincy.
