Marcia Ann Shoemaker, age 56, 2603 Deveron Circle, Quincy, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at 1:24 A.M. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
She was born July 3, 1945 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred A. Wieseman and Alvera Rothgeb Wieseman. On September 14, 1963, she married Paul L. Shoemaker in St. James Lutheran Church in Quincy. He survives.
Mrs. Shoemaker was a 1964 graduate of Quincy High School. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and its greeting committee, and a member of Family Motor Coach Association. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and planning family get togethers. She cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, many friends and her pet Velvet. She was a very thoughtful and caring, compassionate individual who was loved by all.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her Father, Alfred A. Wieseman, Quincy; 3 daughters, Cindy Karl and her husband John, Scottsdale, AZ; twin daughters Tammi Madden and her husband Patrick, Glen Ellyn, IL and Terri Becker and her husband Paul, Vernon Hills, IL; 9 grandchildren, Corbin, Courtney and Cassie Karl, Scottsdale; Keegan, Aidan and Abigail Madden, Glen Ellyn and Collin, Ethan and Ryan Becker, Vernon Hills.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and a brother Donald Wieseman with the United States Air Force.
Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, April 4, at the St. James Lutheran Church, Rev. Marlin R. Rempfer officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4 TO 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church andor Cancer Research .
