Jeannette L. Crossan, 75, 614 South 22nd, Quincy, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 11:50 am in Blessing Hospital.
She was born November 12, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Sadie Stoermer Rueter. On November 6, 1948, she married Ralph F. Crossan at Trinity Church in Quincy. He survives.
She was graduate of Quincy High School in 1944. She was employed by Gardner Denver Company as an office worker. Later, she was employed at Grants as a cashier, and by Quincy Public Schools as a teacher's aide at Lincoln School and Quincy Junior High School until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Evening Guild.
Survivors in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Sally Jane Greenbank and her husband Arthur E., III, Quincy; Jeane Anastas and her husband Mark, Portland, Oregon; 2 sons, Brad L. Crossan and his wife Kelly, Quincy; Bruce G. Crossan and his wife Sook , Burke, VA; 11 grandchildren, Arthur R. Greenbank, Quincy; Robert J. Greenbank, Quincy , Eric, Jamie, and Tracy Anastas, Portland, Oregon; Alessa and Cyrus Crossan, Burke, VA; Keegan and Kourtney Nesbit; Chase and Reece Crossan, all of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Caroline Greenbank.
Funeral Services will be 11: 00 am Monday, May 13, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Timothy A. White officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or The American Cancer Society.
