Marie Elizabeth Talken

Marie Elizabeth Talken, age 93, of the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, and formerly of 2041 Elm died Friday, January 30, 2004 at 10:15 pm in Good Samaritan Home.

She was born July 2, 1910 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Henry J. Ohnemus and Mary Lubbring Ohnemus. On September 12, 1933, she married Andrew A. Talken in St. John's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1992.

Mrs. Talken was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Francis and a member of Catholic Ladies of Charity.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth A. Talken and his wife, Roberta " Bobbie", Quincy; 2 daughters, Lucille M. Logsdon and her husband Kenneth L., Leawood, KS and Marge M. Buckman, Monroe City, MO, 4 grandchildren, Steven A. Talken and his wife Karen, Overland Park, KS, John D. Talken and his wife Mary Kay, Lincoln, NE, Dr. Mark Logsdon, Sacramento, CA; Randy Buckman and his wife Erynn, Kansas City, MO; four great grandchildren, Sara, Laura and Luke Talken, Overland Park, KS, and Independence Talken, Lincoln, NE. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother Raymond Ohnemus; a sister, Alberta Winking; a grandson Bryan Buckman, and a son-in-law Martin Buckman.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home and 10 AM in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church, Rev. Kurt Hartrich officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with a Wake Service at 4 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus Mass for Shut Ins, and Quincy Notre Dame Development Fund.
