Amelia Maxine Shult, 83, of 2836 Seneca Circle, Quincy, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 9:30 pm in Blessing Hospital.

She was born February 10, 1921 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Braun Liebig. On September 2, 1942 she married Virgil Krueger. He died in 1978. On February 14, 1983, she married Jack Shult. He survives.

Mrs. Shult graduated from Quincy Senior High School in 1938 and from the former St. Mary's School of nursing in 1941. She served as a private duty nurse for several years. She retired as a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She was a member of Luther Memorial Church, a member of the Women's City Club and the Quincy Country Club. She was active in the P.T.A. at Madison School.

Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter Marabeth (Bunny) Knowles of Quincy; a son Jeffrey Krueger of Dallas, Texas; 2 grandsons Tad and Tracy Knowles of Quincy; 3 great grandchildren; a stepson Dr. Milo Shult of Conway, Arkansas and his wife Ann; 1 stepgrandson and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Harvey Ralph Liebig.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 24,2004 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Leland Uden and Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Krueger-Shult Scholarship Fund at Luther Memorial Church or the Quincy Park Band.
