Colleen Fletcher, age 86, 200 W. Waverly, Apt. 514, Morris, Illinois (formerly of 714 Ridgewood) died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at 7:45 p.m. at Morris Hospital.

She was born September 25, 1917 in Hamilton, Illinois, the daughter of Marvin J. and Emily F. Garard Bricker. On October 27, 1940, she married John Junior Fletcher in Hamilton, IL. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2000.

Mrs. Fletcher was a graduate of Hamilton High School and Gem City Business College. She worked for her husband John at Dealer Supply. She was secretary to the Innkeeper at the Holiday Inn in Quincy and then was employed by Weight Watchers. She was a member of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy and the First Christian Church in Morris. She was a member of Chapter F, P.E.O. in Quincy and Chapter MD in Morris. While she was in Quincy she was a member of Spring Lake Country Club and an avid golfer. She volunteered at Blessing Hospital and was a willing caregiver to all of her friends.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Jane Davis and her husband Keith, Morris, IL; Ann E. Wertz and her husband Roger, Pickerington, OH; 7 grandchildren, Scott Davis and his wife Annette , Normal, IL; Ann Thomas and her husband Andy, Peoria, IL; Jennifer Beck and her husband Ryan , Littleton, CO; Sarah Miller and her husband Paul, Dublin, OH; Katie Hafner, Columbus, OH; Stephanie Schneider and her husband Eric, Pickerington, OH; Chad Wertz, Pickerington, OH; 5 great grandchildren Jack, Maggie and Abbey Davis, Normal, IL; Sophia Thomas, Peoria, IL and Jacob Schneider, Pickerington, OH; a brother Robert Bricker and his wife Marge of Egg Harbor, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, September 20, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home,with Rev. Bruce Willard and Mr. Keith Davis officiating. Burial in Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in Morris or the American Lung Association.
