Carlene M. Buehler, age 81 of 2041 Chestnut Quincy, Illinois, died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 11:27 a.m. in Good Samaritan Home.
She was born January 4, 1923 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Herman and Louise Brickman Danhaus. On September 12, 1946 she married Willis "Bill" Buehler in Salem Church. He preceded her in death February 22, 1995.
She was a lifelong member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. For many years, she was active in Silver Dollar and Camper Stamper Square Dance Clubs, as well as various organizations at Salem Church.
Surviving are 3 sons, Terry W. Buehler and his wife Gloria of Quincy, Illinois, Ronald Buehler and his wife Terry E. of Camp Point, IL, Charles "Chuck" Buehler of Quincy, a brother, Melvin Danhaus and his wife Juanita of Quincy; 2 sisters Marie Speckhart of Quincy and Marilyn Burgdorff and her husband Glenn,Camp Point, 7 grandchildren, Captain David Wallace and his wife Dawn, Spotsylvania, VA, Dan Wallace and his wife Carrie, Quincy, Janelle McCoy and her husband Richard of Marietta, GA, Alane Goehl and her husband Tim of Camp Point, Ryan Buehler of Camp Point, Brandon Buehler of Golden, Shawn Buehler of Quincy, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers Albert and Emmett Danhaus and a brother-in-law Arnold Speckhart.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2004, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Schuette and the Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 31, 2004 from 4 to 7 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Church, Good Samaritan Home or the charity of the donor's choice.
