Virgil Lee Lepper, Jr., age 68, of 516 Adams, Quincy, died Monday, November 22, 2004 at 1:55 p.m. in his home.
He was born July 20, 1936 in Adams County, Illinois, the son of Virgil Lee Lepper, Sr. and Laura May Ehrgott Lepper. On October 4, 1991, he married Shirley Kindhart Kroeger in Hannibal, MO. She survives.
Mr. Lepper was a high school graduate and attended college for 2 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1955. For over 30 years he owned and operated Three L Construction in Fowler. He was a member of American Legion Post #37.
Survivors in addition to his wife are 1 son, Tim Lepper and his wife Tammy, Fowler; 8 daughters, Missy Oenning and her husband Glen, Rebecca Mainka, Betsy Bliven and her husband Joe, Jackie McDonald and her husband Shawn, Shea Cumby and her husband Brandon, Patsy Kadow and her husband Dennis, Nancy Marshall and her husband Mike, Debbie Goodwin and her husband Robert, all of Quincy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roger and a sister Yvonne Corrigan.
Graveside Services will be Monday morning at 10 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. John Adams officiating. American Legion Post #37 will conduct full military rites at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the family.
