Martha Ida Sigafoose, age 95 of 2130 Harrison, Quincy. formerly of 1225 So. 11th Street died Monday morning, April 18, 2005 at 9:15 a.m. in Good Samaritan Home.

She was born August 23, 1909 in Burton, Illinois the daughter of Jurgen H. and Anna Knight Lubben. On April 2, 1927 she married Cecil L. Sigafoose in Burton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1991.

She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was well known as a breeder of poodles.

Survivors include a son, Cecil L. Sigafoose, Jr. and his wife Jean of Yuma. AZ, 2 daughters, Rosalie Ulibarri and her husband Tom of Littleton, CO, Martha Lou Haywood of Kingsport, TN, and 20 grandchildren, C.L. Sigafoose, III ,Placerville, CA; Linda Steinmann, Kingsport, TN,Kevin Meyerand, Columbia, S.C., Sherrie Randall, Denver, CO, Steven Steinmann, Ft. Worth, TX, Jeffrey Steinmann, Kingsport, TN, Georganna Rosel, Johnson City, TN, Kristen Cakora, Kingsport TN, Kimberly Wollerman, Princeton, IL, Martha Garel, Johnson City, TN, Connie Keels, Durham, N.C., Lorinda Starks, Johnson City, TN, Nancy Free, Kingsport, TN, David Meyerand, Surfside Citiy, S.C., Pamela Sue Lapp, Penny Points and Arnold Points, Denver, CO, Jerry Points, Jr., Aurora, CO, Dawn Nirider, Princeton, IL and Hobart Frank Martin, Church Hill, TN. 47 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; a son-in-law Robert P. Meyerand and his wife Margaret of Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 daughters Coralie Meyerand and Marcia Philhower and 2 brothers Virgil and Orville Lubben and 2 grandchildren Pat and Michael Steinmann.

Services will be Thursday morning at 10:30 AM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Good Samaritan Home.
