Stephen R. "Woody" Waschenbach, age 43 of 1636 Kentucky, Quincy, died Friday, April 29, 2005 at 1:20 pm in Blessing Hospital.
He was born May 8, 1961 in Mexico, MO the son of Siegmund and Marcia Peters Waschenbach. On June 11, 1982 he married Diana Parsons in Kahoka, MO. She survives.
Stephen was a 1979 graduate of Clark County High School and received his bachelor degree from Quincy College in Accounting. He was a partner in Naturalizer Shoes in Burlington, IA, and was a manager in Penn - Daniels Distribution Center. He was a partner in the business, No Assembly Required, and currently he was employed by Peters Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. His passion in life was coaching his three sons, Dustin, Travis and Wesley on the football field, basketball court and baseball field. He enjoyed spending time around their pool with his family and friends.
Survivors also include three sons, Dustin, Travis and Wesley Waschenbach of Quincy; his mother, Marcia Waschenbach of Kahoka, MO; two sisters, Theresa Amundsen and her husband Matthew of Seattle, WA and Christine Nolan and her husband Daniel of Murphysboro, IL; two brothers, Terry Waschenbach and his wife Pam of Marion, IA and Brian Waschenbach and his wife Faith Ann of Kahoka, MO; his mother-in-law, Alice Parsons of Kahoka, MO; sister-in-law, Susie Boggs of Revere, MO; brother-in-law, David Parsons of Wayland, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and father-in-law, Edward Parsons.
Memorial services will be Monday, May 2, 2005, 10:30 am at The Crossing - North Auditorium with the Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. The family will meet with friends at the K of C for a luncheon following the service. Memorials may be made to the Children's Educational Fund, QHS Football or QHS Baseball Programs.
