Emogene "Jean" Pearle Grindstaff , age 84, of 2130 Harrison , Quincy, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 2:35 am in Good Samaritan Home.
Jean was born June 5, 1929 in Queen City, Missouri, the daughter of George Lee and Pearle Snowbarger Eiffert. She married John Joseph Naughton on December 21, 1947 in LaPlata, MO. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1994. She then married Delbert Lee Grindstaff on October 23, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2005.
Jean was a 1947 graduate of LaPlata High School. She worked as an office manager for Drs. Hausheer, Braby, and Associates for 20 years.
Survivors include: her daughter, Jan (Dr. Tim) Morgan of Quincy, IL; two brothers: Howard (Lucy) Eiffert of Columbia, MO; and Rex (the late Sylvia) Eiffert of Ukiah, CA; three granddaughters: Rebecca Morgan (David) Hoskins of Quincy; Jennifer Morgan of St. Louis, MO; and Michelle Morgan of Chesterfield, MO; three stepsons: Dale (Dawn) Grindstaff of Independence, MO; Rick (Teresa) Grindstaff of Independence, MO; and Kerry Grindstaff of Greensboro, NC; eight step grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Marie Collum of LaPlata, MO; and Katherine (James) Miller of Macon, MO; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Pavlovich of Overland Park, KS; and Kelly Groseclose of LaPlata, MO
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John D. Naughton; her Brother, Leon Eiffert; five sisters-in-law: Beverly Eiffert, Sylvia Eiffert, Ethel Groseclose, Joyce Naughton, and Ann Pavlovich; and two brothers-in-law: James Naughton and Robert Naughton.
