Jane Parrick

Jane Catherine Parrick, age 85, of 2130 Harrison, formerly of 3005 Bluff Ridge Drive, died on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 5:40 am in Good Samaritan Home.

She was born December 3, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Guy E. and Nina Vancil Andrews. She married William Menner in 1949. On December 20, 1971 she married L. Jay "Junie" Parrick in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2007.

Jane was a 1946 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been employed as an interior decorator in California and at TRW Accounting Firm in New Jersey. She was a member of The Crossing. In her spare time Jane enjoyed gardening and decorating.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Menner of Cedar Hill, MO, James (Janey) Menner of Webster Groves, MO, and William (Cindy) Menner of Moline, IL; 2 daughters, Susan (Mark) Phillips of Athens, GA, and Christine Banta of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Michelle Woosley, a brother Jim Andrews, and two sisters, Mary Grimmer and Lucille Bonansinga.

Service: 11:00 am April 1, 2014 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Menner officiating.

Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 am April 1, 2014 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Inurnment: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Memorials: Cheerful Home, Walter Hammond Daycare Center or Calvary Chapel, in Rock Island, IL (Pastor Bill Menner's church).
